GLEN BURNIE, MD - A train garden is closing for now after 30 years in Glen Burnie, a report said. The train garden at Marley Station Mall is shuttering temporarily because of a rent hike, WBAL reported.

WBAL said the train garden has welcomed 1,800 visitors this year, but Monday, Dec. 18 is its last day because it has to move out by January. The monthly rent is increasing from $65 to $2,500, a train garden organizer told WBAL.

"We thought that was a typo,” Holiday Train Garden Director Jon Ward told WBAL, noting that the train garden is looking for a new home in north county. “We've subsequently tried to talk to the owners to no success.”
