GLEN BURNIE, MD - The outdoor ice rink is set to reopen Wednesday in the Glen Burnie Town Center, just in time for that evening's tree lighting ceremony.
The ice-skating rink has been under renovation since at least October 2022.
The rink's operator, the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks, said the renovation is complete.
"We are currently making ice at the Glen Burnie rink so all systems go for tomorrow evening," spokesperson Heath Neiderer told Patch on Tuesday.
The Glen Burnie Town Center will host its annual Christmas tree lighting Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The rain date is Thursday.
An hour of free ice-skating is scheduled Wednesday at the outdoor rink from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
More information on the ice rink is posted here.
