CROWNSVILLE, MD - Dunkin' is donating $10,000 to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank on Tuesday. The donation will benefit the weekend meal Backpack Buddies program, which feeds more than 1,000 students in 36 Anne Arundel County Public Schools

The money comes from the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation. This is a charitable arm of the coffee shop chain.

The foundation fights food insecurity with community pantries and after-school meals. The foundation also supports children battling illness with specialized camps and therapy.

The Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation has donated more than $45 million since its inception in 2006.

The foundation also recently donated another $1,000 to the food bank to help kids get Halloween costumes.

Dunkin' will celebrate Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the food bank, located in Crownsville at 120 Marbury Drive.

There will be a check presentation at 10 a.m.

The Dunkin' Community Cruiser will be on site to serve freshly brewed beverages to staff and volunteers. Staff members will also get a spider donut.

There will be prizes, gift cards and an appearance from the Dunkin' mascot, Cuppy.
