New Warehouse Breaking Ground In Glen Burnie Will Be Distribution Hub

GLEN BURNIE, MD -Construction will soon begin on a new warehouse in Glen Burnie. Crews will celebrate with a ground-breaking ceremony Wednesday at noon. 

The 80,000-square-foot building is expected to be finished by the end of 2023. No tenants have been announced yet.

The Class A warehouse will be located at 7653 Solley Road. That's next to the current Amazon warehouse.

"Located within the thriving Baltimore-Washington corridor, this development offers unparalleled access to local markets, including Baltimore and Washington D.C., as well as a workforce comprised of highly skilled professionals," a press release announcing the ground-breaking ceremony said. "The current business community benefits light manufacturing, high technology, contemporary offices, distribution and warehousing."

The warehouse comes from a partnership between Colliers, a commercial real estate firm, and Brennan Investment Group, an industrial builder and operator.

"With Brennan Investment Group laying the groundwork for best-in-class building design that will increase logistics/supply chain efficiency and with Colliers’ deep expertise and knowledge of the rapidly growing and evolving Baltimore-Washington corridor commercial real estate market, this development will provide a great space for any new tenant," the release said.

The ground-breaking ceremony will feature Wesley MacQuilliam of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation and Chris Massey of Brennan Investment Group.
