GLEN BURNIE, MD - Two people died after a recent Glen Burnie car crash, county police said.

Officers identified the victims as driver Daniel Steven Davis, 29, and passenger Megan Leigh Spicknall, 31. Both were from Glen Burnie.

The wreck happened Tuesday around 10 p.m. at Ritchie Highway and Norfolk Road, authorities said.

Police said Davis was driving Spicknall in a 2016 Toyota sedan and heading north on Ritchie Highway.

Officers said Davis tried to turn left onto Norfolk Road, but the Toyota crossed in front of a 2021 Ford SUV heading south on Ritchie Highway.

Authorities said the cars then collided.

Medics took Davis and Spicknall to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries, a press release said.

The release said Spicknall died soon after. Officials released her name on Wednesday.

Police announced Thursday that Davis succumbed to his injuries and died.

Officers said the Ford driver suffered minor injuries and the Ford passenger was not hurt.

Authorities are still investigating.
