GLEN BURNIE, MD — A man was shot outside a Glen Burnie home on Thursday, county police said.

Officers said the victim went to get something from his car around 4:10 a.m. in the unit block of Leymar Road.

Four men in ski masks approached and tried to rob him, authorities said.

Police said a woman inside the home heard the commotion outside and then watched the suspects enter the home.

The suspects pushed the woman to the ground and demanded that she tell them where the money is, officers said.

Authorities said the suspects walked out of the home with some boxes.

Police said the male victim got in his car to try to flee, but one of the suspects shot him.

The suspects all fled. Officers said the unknown suspects are all 20 to 30 years old.

Medics took the shooting victim to a hospital for treatment, authorities said.

Detectives are still investigating.
