A traffic stop led to the seizure of cocaine at a Glen Burnie hotel Monday night.
Anne Arundel County police arrested a man and woman from Pasadena in a traffic stop that ultimately led officers to find $7,000 in cocaine at a hotel in Glen Burnie on Monday night. Between April and May, detectives received a tip that two people were distributing cocaine between Glen Burnie and Pasadena. At approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, police conducted a traffic stop of the two suspects described in the tip, on Route 10 near Furnace Branch Road. Police arrested both occupants, and obtained a warrant to search a room in a Glen Burnie hotel. Officers seized approximately 70 grams of cocaine inside the hotel room, valued at $7,000 along with $800 in cash. One man was arrested after officers carried out the drug warrant.
Anne Arundel County police arrested one man and seized several types of drugs while carrying out a warrant in Brooklyn Park on Thursday. At approximately 5 p.m., patrol officers and members of the narcotics team entered a room at the Budget Plaza Motel, on the 4800 block of Ritchie Highway, to execute a drug warrant. Police seized .35 grams of crack cocaine, 4.83 grams of "suspected" powder cocaine, marijuana, $280 in cash and drug paraphernalia. Police arrested Ricardo Henry Spears, 33, of Brooklyn park, and charged him with several drug-related offenses. In a separate incident, police arrested a Baltimore teen Tuesday in connection with the burglary of a Brooklyn Park home.
Pumphrey: Drug arrests Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie man and a Halethorpe man Saturday after discovering substances suspected of being cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop in Pumphrey, police said. Paul Douglas St. John, 24, of the 1100 block of Nottingham Drive in Glen Burnie, and Tracy Robert Young III, 42, of the 3800 block of Annapolis Road in Halethorpe, were both charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute. According to a police press release, an officer pulled over a 1996 Acura near the intersection of Belle Grove Road and Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Pumphrey for a registration violation. Police said they saw the Odenton woman with an open container during a traffic stop and searched her car, finding powder and crack cocaine.
Anne Arundel County police arrested an Odenton woman Tuesday evening on drug charges. Shannon Levett Smith, 51, of the 1200 block of Scotts Manor Court in Odenton, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and minor traffic charges, according to online court documents. Officers pulled over Smith at about 7:25 p.m. Tuesday for a registration violation in the area of Oak Manor Drive and Crain Highway in Glen Burnie, according to a police press release.
