UPDATE: Van Linked to Westminster Stabbing Found in Anne Arundel
Police say a man was pronounced dead at his Westminster home early Saturday morning, and his van was later discovered in Anne Arundel County.
UPDATE (9:15 p.m.)—A van belonging to a man who died after he was assaulted and stabbed at his Westminster home was found in Anne Arundel County on Saturday afternoon. Maryland State Police said 61-year-old Edward C. Zepp of the 100 block of West Main Street in Westminster was pronounced dead at the scene at about 4 a.m. Saturday. Police charged David M. Montgomery, 28, of no fixed address, with first- and second-degree murder. Montgomery was reportedly found in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway in Anne Arundel County around noon on Saturday. Investigators discovered that Montgomery and Zepp knew each other, but the motive for the assault is unclear at this time.
