Bonefish Grill at the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre will open later this month, but not before holding a special charity night to benefit Opportunity Builders Inc. The restaurant is inviting the public to a special event–reservations required–on Jan. 19 with proceeds to support the charity. Opportunity Builders Inc. provides employment training and services to adults with developmental disabilities. From 6-8:30 p.m., attendees will be able to sample from the Bonefish Grill menu and wine list. Reservations are required. Bonefish Grill will hold its grand opening two days later on Jan. 21. CORRECTION: According to event organizers, reservations are required and are restricted to a limited number.
Movies for just $2 shown on Sept. 12 at the new Gambrills theater will benefit the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County and its Grants 4 Teachers program.
The excitement is building for the Friday grand opening of the new movie theater in Gambrills and preview events allow residents to get a peek inside, catch a flick for just $2, and help local nonprofits. The theater is the latest opening following Bed, Bath & Beyond, Starbucks (with a drive-thru) and the Greene Turtle at Waugh Chapel Towne Centre.
