Photos: Glen Burnie Improvement Association Lights Holiday Tree
The Glen Burnie Improvement Association hosted its annual tree lighting ceremony Friday night, featuring a visit from Santa.
Residents headed to the Glen Burnie Improvement Association (GBIA) on Friday for the annual tree-lighting ceremony. In addition to the lighting of the tree, the event featured Christmas carolers, crafts for the kids, snacks, a place to write letters to Santa and a visit from santa. Children still can place letters to Santa in the mailbox outside the GBIA building that until Dec. 18—and will get a letter back if they leave their name and address. Great Photos! The singer/guitarist John Pappajohn was a friend of mine when I use to frequent the Thai cafe right there on the square. He did a version of "Country Roads" that would incite spontaneous sing-alongs every single time he played it. I haven't seen him in years.
