Glen Burnie Man Admits to Strangling Relative
Police say a 22-year-old man admitted to strangling his great aunt earlier this week.
A Glen Burnie man admitted to strangling his great aunt sometime between Monday night and early Tuesday, according to Anne Arundel County police. Police responded to a residence on the 300 block of Gatewater Court for a reported death. Officers found a woman, later identified as Dianna Lee Fitzwater, 62, dead in the living room of the home. The two other occupants of the residence reported that they awoke at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and discovered Fitzwater unresponsive. A crew transported Fitzwater to the medical examiner's office in Baltimore, where on Wednesday it was determined she died from asphyxiation in a homicide.
