Police Say Man Fled Robbery, Hit Police Cars

In a separate incident, a male suspect allegedly pistol-whipped and robbed a man at a Linthicum Hotel on Thursday afternoon.

Glen Burnie: Robbery, police chase Anne Arundel County police arrested a man who they say robbed a Glen Burnie beauty store and led them on a chase that ended with the man crashing into police vehicles in Gambrills. Derrick Christopher Lanham, 45, of no fixed address was charged with robbery, theft less than $1,000 and nearly 20 traffic charges, according to online court documents. Police have not released his booking photo due to an ongoing investigation. According to a police press release, officers responded to the Sally Beauty Supply store located in the 7900 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday for a reported robbery. Northern District Officer on Leave After Suspect Shot

The officer was involved in the shooting death of a Baltimore Highlands man on Tuesday.

A Northern District police officer was placed on administrative leave after his involvement in the shooting death of a man who police said assaulted an officer, stole a patrol car and led officers on a chase ending in the Patapsco Village Shopping Center. According to the Maryland Gazette, Cpl. Eric Burns, a 19-year county police veteran assigned to the Northern District, was placed on routine administrative leave after the He is one of as many as four officers—three from Baltimore County—who discharged their weapons and fired several shots at Baltimore Highlands resident Munpreet Singh Chona, 26, according to police officials. Driver Identified in Wednesday's Police Chase, Fatal Crash in Pasadena

Police said Brian L. McNutt, 50, of Glen Burnie was the man driving the truck involved in a police chase and subsequent crash that resulted in his death.

Maryland State Police (MSP) have identified Brian L. McNutt, 50, of Glen Burnie as the man behind the wheel of a Dodge Dakota involved in a police chase Wednesday that ended with a fatal crash in Pasadena. Police were able to identify McNutt from his fingerprints. According to a police press release, McNutt's license had been revoked in Maryland since at least 2008. Police said they believe McNutt borrowed the truck from the owner, both of whom had the same address on Stiemly Avenue. As of Thursday afternoon, police had not yet determined a motive for McNutt's "erratic and dangerous driving behavior" on Wednesday, but said the medical examiner's office was conducting forensic and toxicology tests. Police Chase Begins in Glen Burnie, Leads to Fatal Crash in Pasadena

A man hit a tree on Route 100 near Catherine Avenue after a police chase Wednesday afternoon.

A man who was speeding, driving erratically and refused to stop when spotted by a Maryland State Police (MSP) trooper died after he lost control of hist truck and hit a tree late Wednesday afternoon in Pasadena, police said. The driver, who has been only identified as a white adult man, was not the registered owner of the 1998 Dodge Dakota he was operating, but it is not believed to have been stolen, according to an MSP press release. At about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, a trooper saw the Dakota swerving back and forth within a travel lane as he sat on the shoulder of southbound Route 10 just south of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie.
