Mourners Say Goodbye to Jessica Lee

The Brooklyn Park woman, 20, was found slain in a Pasadena field earlier this month.

As mourners celebrated Jessica Lee’s life during her funeral Tuesday, the Rev. Jennifer K. Knighton invoked the words of Psalm 91 that speak of God’s protection for those who believe in him. “Now, he protects Jessie in heaven, where there is no one who can harm her again,” said Knighton, the officiating minister from Grace United Church of Christ in Baltimore. About 200 people filled St. John’s United Church of Christ in Catonsville to remember Lee, 20, of Brooklyn Park. Her body was found in a field behind Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Pasadena Aug. 6. Police Identify Pasadena Body As Missing Brooklyn Park Woman

The body found in the woods in Pasadena has been identified as Jessica Lynn Lee, from Brooklyn Park, who went missing in May.

Police have identified the body found in the woods behind a Pasadena shopping center as Jessica Lynn Lee—the 20-year-old from Brooklyn Park who went missing in May, according to an Anne Arundel County Police press release. According to the release, the Anne Arundel County Police Department's Crime Laboratory was able to conclusively identify the victim in this case as Lee through DNA. Just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 6, Anne Arundel County police responded to the wooded area behind the shopping center off Ritchie Highway—where the Ollie's Bargain Outlet is located—when a man who was walking through the woods said he found what appeared to be a human skull.
