Howard County police said Eric Brandon Miller, 25, shot a man who was in the process of selling him a large amount of marijuana. The man's accomplice is still at large, police said.
Howard County police arrested a Glen Burnie man in connection with a Jan. 11 drug-related shooting in Columbia. An unidentified accomplice remains at large, according to police. Eric Brandon Miller, 25, of the 1300 block of Whitman Drive in Glen Burnie was reportedly charged with first- and second-degree assault. Police said he is accused of shooting Marcus Lee, 20, of Columbia, who was listed in stable condition as of Wednesday afternoon. According to a police press release, officers responded to the Sam's Mart store in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road at about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 11 and discovered that Lee had just been shot and ran into the store for help. A Glen Burnie woman and former Howard County Public School System employee who stole computer equipment using an eBay account under her daughter’s name will spend two years in prison and must pay the school system more than $200,000, according to the Howard County State’s Attorney’s Office. Tina Marie Eiser, 50, pleaded guilty in March to theft after prosecutors said she stole more than $200,000 worth of computer parts between 2005 and 2009 when she worked as an information technology technician for the school system. During the March plea hearing, school officials testified that Eiser ordered “at least double” the amount of computer parts that other technicians did.
