Anne Arundel County police are looking into a robbery at a Brooklyn Park home that led to a shooting.
Anne Arundel County police are investigating a robbery in Brooklyn Park that led to the shooting of a resident Wednesday night. Police said shortly after 6:30 p.m., two men entered a residence on the 200 block of Southerly Road, produced a gun and announced a robbery. A 27-year-old man was shot in the upper body during the robbery, according to police. Arriving officers searched the immediate area but failed to locate the suspect. An emergency crew transported the victim to Harbor Hospital in Baltimore with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police are actively investigating the incident and interviewing witnesses. Anne Arundel County police say an early morning home invasion on Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a 17 year old from Glen Burnie, and investigators are seeking four additional suspects. Shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to the 100 block of Southbridge Drive after receiving a report of a home invasion robbery earlier that morning, according to police. The victims told police that at about 2 a.m. Tuesday, five men wearing masks displayed a gun and forced entry into the apartment. The suspects took money and other property from the residence and fled on foot, leaving no victims injured, police said. Detectives investigated the incident and arrested one suspect. Police are still actively investigating a home invasion and shooting that occurred on Monday night in the 200 block of 5th Avenue SW. According to a press release from Anne Arundel County police, officers from northern district responded to a reported home invasion and shooting at about 10:35 p.m. Monday. Police located a 42-year-old Glen Burnie man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. He was reportedly transported to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for injuries that were not life-threatening. No further details are available at this time, as the case is still active and police are searching for two suspects in connection with the incident. In separate incidents, a man forced his way into a Brooklyn Park woman's home and stole money and jewelry at gunpoint on Friday and Mikie's Diner was robbed early Monday morning.

Brooklyn Park: Drug arrest Anne Arundel County police said they arrested a Severna Park man on drug charges after pulling him over in Brooklyn Park on Sunday. Michael Christopher Warner, 29, of the 100 block of McKinsey Road in Severna Park, was charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to a police press release, officers pulled over Warner around 5:05 p.m. Sunday in the area of West Meadow and Belle Grove roads in Brooklyn Park for a traffic violation. During the investigation, officers said they searched the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire and confiscated about 127.37 grams of suspected marijuana, 40 pills of suspected oxycodone and about $1,000 in cash. Anne Arundel County police arrested three men Wednesday night in connection with the armed robbery of a 24-year-old man in Glen Burnie. Officers arrested Brandon Bain, 22, of the 5600 block of Harbor Valley Drive in Brooklyn Park and Jvaughn Smith, 22, and Jquaghn Franklin, 19, of the 1500 block of Lochaber Court in Glen Burnie. Police said in a release the three men were charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft, assault, reckless endangerment and use of a firearm in a violent crime and other charges.
