Sally's Beauty Shop Robbery Began With a Note

Police are searching for two women believed to be involved in the robbery.

Sally's Beauty Supply Shop was robbed by two women who handed the cashier a note demanding money, Anne Arundel County police said. Authorities are searching for two women believed to be involved in the robbery which occurred Monday at 1 p.m. in the 7900 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. Store employees told police a woman entered the store and passed a note to the clerk implying that she had a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of money from the register and fled into a dark-colored Chevrolet, driven by a second woman.  Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or the suspects.

Police Arrest Glen Burnie Man in Robbery, Assault

Police said the incident occurred on Sunday at 3 p.m.

A 26-year-old Glen Burnie man was charged with assault and robbery on Sunday afternoon, according to Anne Arundel County police. According to online charging documents, William Reginald Epps Jr. of the 300 block of Cherry Lane was charged with second-degree assault, robbery and theft with a value less than $1,000. Police responded to the report of a robbery in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway on Sunday at 3 p.m., according to a press release. Police spoke to a male victim who said he was approached by another man who demanded money. According to police, the victim refused to hand over the money and walked away when he was grabbed and assaulted. The victim was able to get away and fled to a Shell gas station to call police.
