Officials: Tornado May Have Touched Down at BWI

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported a tornado inside the perimeter of BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport on Friday evening, as well as the sighting of a funnel cloud in the sky over Severn. According to a summary on its website, the NWS said a trained spotter reported the funnel cloud in Severn at 6:08 p.m. Friday. At 7:19 p.m., operators in the air traffic control towers at BWI Airport reported a tornado, as well as tree debris.
