Toddler Among Two Killed in Curtis Creek Beltway Crash

A woman drove the wrong way on Interstate 695, causing a fatal accident, police said.

A head-on collision Sunday night on Interstate 695, near the Curtis Creek drawbridge in south Baltimore, claimed two lives, including a Dundalk woman and White Marsh toddler.  Victoria DeAngelo, 21, drove her Chevrolet Cobalt the wrong direction on the outer loop of I-695 at about 10 p.m. Sunday. She then crashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe at 10:01 p.m., according to Sgt. Jonathan Green, a Maryland Transportation Authority Police spokesman.  DeAngelo, who is from Darlington and was living in Dundalk, was pronounced dead at the scene, Green confirmed.  The driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe, 29-year-old Kimberly Taylor, a White Marsh resident, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. Taylor's daughter, 3-…

After watching the news I think I know how this happened... Off Fort Smallwood she made a right onto Quarantine road to get onto 695 (where they are doing bridge construction). Once onto Quarantine road, instead of going OVER 695 and making a left, she turned *LEFT* AT THE STOP SIGN thus getting onto 695 going the wrong way.
