Cartoon Cuts secured 31 percent of the vote, barely edging out Furnace Branch Barber Shop, becoming Glen Burnie Patch's Readers' Choice place to take kids for a haircut.

Based on votes in the poll, salon won Glen Burnie's Readers' Choice contest for kids' haircuts. Receiving 31 percent of the votes, Cartoon Cuts edged out Furnace Branch Barber Shop by one tally. Last year Penny Reisler of Pasadena told Patch contributor Gloria Dietz that being able to watch movies at Cartoon Cuts while getting a hair cut helped her daughter, who has autism, make it through the trip to the salon. Odenton Patch Editor Tim Lemke said the movies also help when he takes his 2-year-old son to the children's salon. "Last time, he watched Cars when he got a trim," he …

Readers' Choice: Glen Burnie Kids' Haircuts

Who do you trust in Glen Burnie to give your child a haircut?

I don't have kids. Just wanted to make that clear. But I do know from watching my nephew when he was young that a child's haircut is a totally different from an adult's. It takes a certain ... finesse. Tell me, where do you take your kids to get their hair cut in Glen Burnie, Brooklyn Park or Linthicum? Last Week: Readers' Choice: Glen Burnie St. Patrick's Celebrations Next Week: Readers' Choice: Glen Burnie Sandwiches Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, reviews on Patch Places and comments in this article. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch. I've been a happy member of Crossfit BWI for 18 months now. When I started training with Ryan, I was overweight, had high blood pressure, was borderline type 2 diabetic, and had high cholesterol. Quickly I was able to go off of blood pressure meds, my blood sugar levels are now normal, and my cholesterol is under control. At age 55, I'm in the best shape of my life. I've lost a lot of weight and …   more ›

What is the Best Gym in Glen Burnie?

Vote for your favorite place to exercise in Glen Burnie, Brooklyn Park or Linthicum.

As summertime approaches, many of us who had goals to lose weight and get in shape at the beginning of the year may be losing our way. Hopefully this poll will help us all get back on track. I know I plan on shedding a few more pounds before a milestone birthday in May, so this poll is right on time since my birthday is exactly two months away. I have a connection to almost all of the gyms in Glen Burnie—I was a Bally member for years before moving to Glen Burnie, I currently am a World Gym member, I teach Zumba classes at Positive Vibes Fitness twice a week and took my very first yoga class at the Gold's Gym in Marley Station last year. I might have trouble picking my favorite, but hopefully you won't. Tell me, where's your favorite place…
