Donate Unused Giant Gas Points to HOPE

The Linthicum-based organization that works to help the county's needy families is asking those who don't use their Giant gas points to donate them to H.O.P.E. (For All).

Shop at Giant Food but don't use the Shell gas points that are accrued with your purchases? Why not donate them to a good cause? H.O.P.E. (For All)—the nonprofit organization that delivers donated clothing, furniture and other goods to local families in need—is asking those Giant Food shoppers out there who don't use their gas points to donate them instead. When you check out, simply give the cashier H.O.P.E.'s number (410-859-1297) and then shoot the organization an email at cwilsonhair@comcast.net to let them know you've donated your points, as points are only valid for 30 days. See how $1 can help make a difference in someone else's life.

Are you looking for ways to give back this holiday season? Do you think you cannot afford to make a difference? Well think again. In the December issue of O Magazine, a list was provided to show how far just one or two dollars can go to the needy. Just think of how far $20 would go between these organizations. You could save an animal, educate a child, feed the hungry, support our troops or create a smile. A full list of resources can be viewed here. If you have a Secret Santa swap at the office, why not take a list of these organizations and have each person pick one out of a hat to donate to instead of giving something to each other that you probably do not need?
