A vehicle rolled over during the Sunday crash.
A crash on Interstate 895 near the Harbor Tunnel injured two people on Sunday, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. Division Chief Keith Swindle said a vehicle flipped near I-895 and Hammonds Lane, injuring a man and woman believed to be in their 40s. A crew transported both accident victims to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with injuries that are not life-threatening. The truck driver was transported to Shock Trauma, but is expected to survive.
A cement truck crash in Glen Burnie on Monday sent a man to Shock Trauma, according to Anne Arundel County fire officials. At approximately noon on Monday, a cement truck overturned near Ritchie Highway and the entrance to I-695, according to Division Chief Keith Swindle. The crash trapped the truck driver inside the vehicle, according to Swindle. Emergency crews extricated the man and transported him to Shock Trauma with serious but non-life threatening injuries. One driver is in critical but stable condition after the collision early Tuesday.
A single vehicle crash only minutes into the new year sent a man to Shock Trauma, according to Anne Arundel County police. Shortly after 12 a.m. on Jan. 1, police responded to a crash in Glen Burnie and found a vehicle that left the roadway on Route 10 and struck the bridge supports for the I-695 overpass. Medical crews removed the driver of the vehicle, who was partially ejected and sustained life-threatening injuries. Crews transported him to the Shock Trauma center in Baltimore. The driver, Daniel Alan Leitner, 24, of Baltimore, remains in critical but stable condition at Shock Trauma, according to police. Police said an initial investigation shows Leitner was traveling northbound on Route 10 and failed to negotiate a curve in the road…
