Police Use Taser on Burglary Suspect Inside Linthicum Home

Police say a man walked on the roof and entered a Linthicum home Wednesday afternoon.

Anne Arundel County police deployed a Taser while subduing a burglary suspect Wednesday afternoon in Linthicum. Police say they found Timothy Ray Veasey, 48, of Baltimore, inside a Linthicum home after a resident reported a burglary-in-progress. Officers used the taser when the suspect allegedly violently resisted arrest. Shortly after 2 p.m., police responded to a residence on the 6500 block of Englewood Road for the reported burglary, and a woman told police she heard someone enter her home from the roof. The woman fled the house and called police from her neighbor's house. The woman said no other residents were inside the home, so police created a perimeter and entered the home. Police Find Cocaine on Glen Burnie Burglary Suspect

Police arrested a Glen Burnie man after a resident reported a burglary-in-progress Wednesday.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie man after finding him in a reported burglary-in-progress, and seized cocaine that was in his possession. Mark Dale McCartney, 44, was arrested and charged him with first- and third-degree burglary, rogue and vagabond, and drug possession. Shortly before 11 a.m., officers responded to the reported burglary on the 7100 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, and found a man walking outside the residence. According to police, the man allegedly entered the victim's vehicle to take items, and was confronted by the homeowners when he entered the residence. The victims did not know the alleged intruder. Two From Glen Burnie Charged in Burglary

Police arrest two suspects in a Millersville burglary.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a 15-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man from Glen Burnie near the scene of a burglary in Millersville on Monday night. Police allege that shortly after 11 p.m. the two suspects entered the window of an apartment on the 300 block of Highland Drive. One of the suspects was carrying a firearm, according to investigators. Police responded to the reported burglary, and the suspects fled on foot as officers arrived. The officers located the suspects about one block away from the scene, on Elvaton Road, and they determined the firearm was a pellet gun. Police Charge Two Baltimore Men in Curtis Bay Attempted Burglary

Police arrest one suspect after chase by vehicle and on foot.

Anne Arundel County police arrested two Baltimore men in the burglary of a home on the 100 block of Sycamore Rd. early Wednesday. Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress and located two suspects. Officers arrested one suspect at the scene and arrested the second after a brief chase by car and foot. The officers discovered cut copper inside the suspect's vehicle and burglary tools at the house. Police arrested Robert M. Buck, 30, and Paul E. Glen Burnie Man Among Three Charged in Annapolis Thefts

Annapolis Police arrest three men who officers say were pulling handles on cars on Water Street Wednesday night.

Annapolis police arrested three men who were observed pulling on cars doors on Water Street on Wednesday night.  Bena Forrester, 25, of Glen Burnie, was charged with four counts of rogue and vagabond, theft under $100 and possession of burglar’s tools. Police found a Stanley brand phillips head screwdriver in his pocket. John Simms, 24, and Deontray Johnson, 22, both of Annapolis, were charged with rogue and vagabond. Simms was also charged with possession of burglar’s tools. Police said they watched Simms enter an unlocked vehicle on Water Street. Police Charge Baltimore Man with Auto Theft, Burglary

The man is implicated in a number of incidents in Brooklyn Park, Pumphrey and Pasadena over the weekend. Police continue to search for a second suspect.

Anne Arundel County police arrested one of two men suspected in thefts of and from vehicles in the Brooklyn Park, Pumphrey and Pasadena areas over the weekend. Justin Michael Myers, 23, of the 800 block of Glade Court in Baltimore faces several charges including: unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, second- and fourth-degree burglary, theft less than $1,000 and rogue and vagabond. According to a police press release, officers responded to the 700 block of Sunnyfield Lane in Brooklyn Park at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday with the caller telling police that two men were attempting to steal a white Chevrolet Suburban. Police Charge 2 with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Marijuana

In a separate incident, police arrested a Baltimore teen Tuesday in connection with the burglary of a Brooklyn Park home.

Pumphrey: Drug arrests Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie man and a Halethorpe man Saturday after discovering substances suspected of being cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop in Pumphrey, police said. Paul Douglas St. John, 24, of the 1100 block of Nottingham Drive in Glen Burnie, and Tracy Robert Young III, 42, of the 3800 block of Annapolis Road in Halethorpe, were both charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute. According to a police press release, an officer pulled over a 1996 Acura near the intersection of Belle Grove Road and Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Pumphrey for a registration violation. Police Arrest Man in Connection With Pharmacy Burglary

In a separate incident, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the burglary of a Linthicum home.

Glen Burnie: Burglary arrest Anne Arundel County police arrested a Brooklyn Park man early Thursday morning and charged him with the burglary of a Glen Burnie pharmacy. John Henry Hammer Helmick, 22, of the 700 block of Church Street in Brooklyn Park was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary and destruction to property. According to a police press release, officers responded to the Arundel Pharmacy in the 7500 block of Ritchie Highway for a burglar alarm. Officers saw that someone had entered the store and was no longer on the scene. A short time later, an officer located a man running from the area, police said. I looked at the addresses and that is about right. There is also a doctors office near by, a small convenient store, a liquor store, and a church within 200 yards of Milts. If you suggesting that Milts is a community problem, I disagree. If there are any issues in this area it's a problem from society.   more ›
