Honey Bee Diner
410-761-0477
The Honey Bee Diner is a Glen Burnie institution. Open 24 hours and staffed with top-notch servers, it's a hit with the post-bar crowd, families out for dinner and the early bird breakfast set. The decor calls to mind a 50s-style diner, complete with stools at the breakfast bar overlooking the grill and a booth-filled dining room (though the flat screen TVs are more modern than retro). The menu is large enough to please any table, without being overwhelming, and daily specials are available all day or night. The chocolate milk is nearly addictive, and despite the diner vibe, food is never greasy. Service is always friendly and fast.

I've eaten at the HoneyBee diner for over 25 years. For the most part, I go breakfast time on the weekends. During those periods, it is a very family-friendly place. The food is always high quality and service is excellent (even when I was younger and was rolling in after the bars let out) so I don't understand one of the comments below. The menu has a lot of variety, including upscale items as well as classic diner food.
I agree, Brian. Their French Toast is my favorite thing I've had there. And it was the first place I ate when I came to Glen Burnie about a year and a half ago.
The Honey Bee has recently renovated it's parking lot and dining area. It is popular with GB'ers so Sat and Sun mornings are crowded but relatively short waits. I normally have the French Toast but their sandwiches are good a well. Big menu with a lot of fried stuff. It is all I want in a greasy spoon.

The Honey Bee has recently gotten a new look and feel. I only go in the late evening/early morning b/c I love the night staffs service and their cheese steak. Plus they have Mtn Dew!
