Our food came and was over an hour wait and I live less than 5 mins away from Daikim. The food was cold and the order was wrong and when we calmy requested our order be made over we were told and I quote "I am willing to PICK the cooked onions out of your food, but we will not re-make your order" Are you serious? How dare you PICK through anyone's food?! When I asked why the order could not be re-made. I was told "this is a family owned business, and we will lose money if we take your food back and not charge you for a new order, and once we take your food back we can't resale it." She was rude and yelling and no one was yelling at her nor was anyone being rude to her. I explained to the owner's daughter that I could care less about them being a family owned business and her customer service skilld sucked and I demanded to speak to her father and need-less to say she wouldn't put him on the phone. She actually said. " I'm not putting him on the phone and speaking to me, I've offered to pick through your food as a comprise. If you don't like it, don't order from us again" I told her that I won't order from them ever again and I hung up. I thought to myself. is she kidding me? I took the food back to the restaurant and received my refund.Although, their food was good,I will NEVER patronize their business again!
Dai Kim Express
410-863-0350
Dai Kim is a neighborhood favorite for take out, and no matter what time of day, there is usually a scattering of customers waiting for their carry out in the austere but clean storefront. The usual Chinese, Cantonese and Hunan fare is available, but all items are MSG-free, freshly prepared, and only vegetable oil is used in the kitchen. For those watching their waistline, Dai Kim offers a ten-dish diet menu with meals prepared without salt, oil or cornstarch.

I've had Chinese food at just about every noteworthy place in Glen Burnie (Bruce Lee's, Hibachi Supreme, Poseidon, Lucky Garden, etc.) and no one comes close to the General Tso's chicken at Dai Kim Express. It's just the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, and the texture of their batter is oh-so-scrumptious. Combined with the best pork fried rice in town, I love to get this for lunch. If you're someone who eats Chinese food every week or so, be sure to at least check this place out!
