Twisty and Izzie are the Pets of the Week

This week's pets of the week are Twisty and Izzie. PLUS enter to win Joe Flacco autographed prizes at Baltimore Humane Society. And the 2 Fur 1 Cat Special Continues!

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Twisty and Izzie. Here's what they each have to say--

Twisty:

Hello. My name is Twisty and I am a young Pit Bull Mix (about 10 months old) who was brought here from another shelter due to lack of space. I am extremely energetic and like to be aroundpeople. I am still a puppy so I am a bit nippy and would highly benefit from going to training classes. It would be fun for me and my new family to go together! I like to jump around a lot so a fence about five or six feet high would be great for me. As of right now, I love tennis balls and kongs to play with. If you are looking for a young happy dog to add to your family then please come visit me soon at BHS.

Izzie:

Hello there. My name is Izzie and I am four-and-a-half years old. My previous owner brought me to BHS because of allergies. I was totally scared when I came here, but have come around and now you can hold me and pet me. If you have another cat you may need to keep us separated for a little while at first… I would really like to find a forever home -- the people here treat me well, but I just want a home of my own. Please visit our shelter soon because there are so many of us here who need a family.

The adoption fee for Twisty is $165, and $105 for Izzie. Plus get a free bag of starter food!

The Baltimore Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter founded in 1927 by Mrs. Elsie Seeger Barton.  As a privately funded non-profit organization, we receive no funding from the local or federal governments, or any national animal welfare organization. In addition to the care of dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals it also offers low-cost veterinary care to the public and a pet cemetery with grief support services. To support animal care operations, BHS depends on the income from fundraising events, and donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations in order to continue its day-to-day operations and properly care for the animals at the shelter.  Baltimore Humane Society is a proud member of Baltimore Animal Welfare Association with the Maryland SPCA and BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter.)

For more information about BHS, and how you can contribute, volunteer, adopt, or foster, please visit www.bmorehumane.org or call 410-833-8848, or text the word “PAW” to 80000 to donate.
