Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society

Megan and Domino are the Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society

This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Megan and Domino. Here's what they each have to say:

Hello. My name is Megan and I am a one-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie/Pit Mix. I was brought to BHS because I was too active for my owners and they couldn’t handle me. I seem to really like people and get along with all humans....dogs are another story because I can be very dog selective. I am extremely high energy even though I could stand to lose some weight. I like to go for long walks and play with all sorts of toys...although I am toy possessive — meaning that it is best to NOT take my toys away from me while I am playing. Because of this, it is also best that I NOT go home with young children...probably 10 years old and up. I am hoping to find a forever home soon because I need to get all of my energy out and it’s hard to do that when I am in a cage all day long. If you would like to add a loving, loyal and energetic dog to your family, please consider me.

Hello there! My name is Domino and I am five years old. I originally came to BHS with my friend, Fiona, because our owner got sick and couldn't care for us anymore. I was adopted once, but unfortunately my family became allergic to me and was sad to have to see me go. I am a big girl now, but that just means there's more of me to love! I have experience being a great pet, and I am hoping to settle into my next home forever. If you are looking for a cat like me, please come into the shelter so we can meet.

The adoption fee for Megan is only $165, and $105 for Domino. Plus get a free bag of starter food!

2 Fur One December Cat Special — Throughout the month of December, you can adopt one cat and bring along his or her feline friend for free.  It's our way of keeping our bonded cats and kittens together forever.  Only a few more days to take advantage of this special!

The Baltimore Humane Society was founded in 1927 by Mrs. Elsie Seeger Barton.  As a privately funded non-profit organization, we receive no funding from the county, city, or federal governments, and we are not affiliated with the Humane Society of the United States or any other animal welfare organization. To support animal care operations, BHS depends on the income from fundraising events, and donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations in order to continue its day-to-day operations and properly care for the animals at the shelter.  For more information about BHS, and how you can contribute, volunteer, adopt, or foster, please visit www.bmorehumane.org or call 410-833-8848, or text the word “PAW” to 80000 to donate.
