'Uncooperative' Woman Arrested in Brooklyn Fire Investigation

A report says a woman was intoxicated and charged with hindering a fire investigation early Sunday.

A Crownsville woman was charged with interfering in a fire investigation after fire officials said she was intoxicated and uncooperative after a Brooklyn fire early Sunday.

According to a press release from Anne Arundel County Fire Department, firefighters responded to a house fire at 2:15 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of Key Avenue. Crews quickly brought a bedroom fire under control, in the house occupied by five adults and two children.

Four of the adults cooperated with fire investigators but the fifth adult was under the influence of alcohol and uncooperative with investigators, according to fire officials. At one point, the woman reportedly reentered the house and sat on the couch in what the fire department called "an act of defiance."

Lisa Michelle Ennis, 46, of Crownsville, was arrested and transported to the Anne Arundel County Police Department's Northern District to be charged with interfering in a fire marshal investigation.
