Anne Arundel County police stopping a Millington man for a traffic violation discovered more than $900 worth of marijuana in his car, according to a department statement.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers stopped a vehicle on Hospital Drive, near Crain Highway, and smelled what they believed to be marijuana. Police searched the vehicle and found 45.2 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The officers arrested the driver, Thomas Leo Cope, 31, of Millington, MD. The department charged Cope with possession of marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute, and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.
The marijuana has a street value of approximately $900 and the paraphernalia is worth $500, according to police.
