Teen Struggles to Keep His Music Device

Police say the teen received minor injuries and refused treatment.

A teen told police that a passenger got out of a light-colored BMW and took his electronic musical device on Monday afternoon in Glen Burnie.

According to Anne Arundel County police, officers from the eastern district responded to the 8000 block of Phirne Road East for a reported robbery at about 2:29 p.m. Monday.

Police said the teen was walking along Phirne Road East towards Crain Highway when the BMW reportedly stopped, and a passenger got out and grabbed the teen from behind.

The teen resisted and was struck multiple times as the suspect attempted to take an electronic musical device from the teen's pocket, police said. The suspect reportedly took the device and fled in the BMW towards Crain Highway. Although police searched the area, they were unable to locate the suspects or the BMW.

Police said the teen suffered minor injuries but he refused medical treatment.
