State Police Release Vehicle Description in Linthicum Hit-And-Run

Police are looking for information about a light blue Toyota that may have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run.

Maryland State Police have released a description of the vehicle suspected to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run early Saturday.

Police said a light blue Toyota traveling north on Interstate 295 may have been the vehicle that struck and killed Henry Smith, 71, of Laurel, who was walking near the highway shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday.

Police said a left headlight was out on the Toyota, and the front bumper was dragging on the road. The car traveled with it flashers on and exited Interstate 295 onto Waterview Avenue into the Westport neighborhood of Baltimore.

Police are asking anyone with possible information on the incident to call the Glen Burnie Barracks of the Maryland State Police at 410-761-5130.
