Stabbing at Crossroads Tavern Leads to Motorcycle Crash, Arrest

Police arrested a Glen Burnie man early Sunday after he crashed a motorcycle and allegedly stabbed a man in a restaurant parking lot.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie man for allegedly stabbing a man in the parking lot of Crossroads Tavern. The assailant then wrecked his motorcycle shortly afterward.

Just after midnight, the suspect exited the bar, approached another man and accused him of damaging his motorcycle. The suspect then stabbed the man and fled on his motorcycle, according to police.

Police said the suspect crashed his motorcycle a short time later in the area of Birch Avenue and Magnolia Avenue, and responding officers recovered a weapon. Witnesses positively identified the suspect as being involved in the stabbing.

Police arrested Brian Scott Smith, 45, of Glen Burnie, and charged him with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and several DWI offenses.

An emergency crew transported the victim to Shock Trauma with serious injuries.

OMGosh! I know Scott and this is so unbelievable! He's normally not a violent person.

Well, they failed to say whether or not the other guy did, in fact, do something to his motorcycle; thus starting the altercation, it sounds like there's a whole lot more to this story than what we just read.

I know the other guy, and it is unlikely he did anything to his motorcycle, the other guy has a high respect for bikes. He rides himself.

Sounds to me like this guy Scott cant handle his drink! Putting a blade in somebody neck just because they were standing to close to a dam motorcycle. I guess he was a little close since his bike was parked right next to his black StreetGlide "IN A PARKING LOT!!!!!" WTH Man. Trying to take somebody's life for that... REALLY!.. What a coward! What ever happen to just trading fist with somebody if they are really doing something wrong.? Guess he's just one of them guy's that needs more then just his fist to handle anything! Unreal how people get a couple of drinks in them and they turn into an instant badboy! I laugh at him for crashing his bike while running away to HIDE! Too bad he didn't break his neck while doing so! I hope they throw the whole book at this trash! He deserves what he gets plus more! Just so everybody knows: The victim was stabbed not only "once" but "two" times in the throat for picking up his pack of cigarette he dropped when he pulled them out of the bag of his OWN bike ! That's trying to kill somebody in my book! Good Luck in Lockup BadBoy!

Sounds like a whole lot of trashy people go to Crossroads, and Teresa Pugh, "normally not violent" people don't stab others in the neck.
