A man armed with a gun reportedly broke into a home in Brooklyn Park on Wednesday night. The home's residents were not harmed and no property was taken, but police were unable to locate the man.
According to a release from Anne Arundel County police, officers from the Northern District responded to the 300 block of Hillcrest Avenue in Brooklyn Park for a report of a home invasion about 10:27 p.m. Wednesday.
A male victim told police that a man armed with a gun forced him from the backyard into his home where he asked for money. Police said the victim’s mother allegedly saw her son being held at gunpoint and began screaming.
The man reportedly fled westbound on Hillcrest Avenue and several officers, the Aviation Unit and a K-9 unit searched the area without success. Police said the incident remains under investigation.
