A man and woman told police that they were robbed in the parking lot of Marley Station mall in Glen Burnie on Sunday night.
According to a press release from Anne Arundel County police, officers from the Northern District responded to the parking lot of the mall located in the 7900 block of Ritchie Highway for a reported robbery.
A man said he was attacked as he was walking to his car and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen before he tried to run away, according to police.
A woman also told police that a man stole money from a purse inside her vehicle and fled the scene with another man. Both the man and woman reportedly sustained minor injuries, but police said they refused medical treatment.
Police said officers canvassed the area and apprehended two men: Kenny Carlos Truxon, Jr., 19, of the 7600 block of Spencer Road in Glen Burnie and Detrick Aliahjuaa Parker, 18, of the 5200 block of Patrick Henry Drive in Baltimore.
According to police, both suspects were charged with robbery, second-degree assault (two counts), theft under $1,000 (two counts), and rogue and vagabond.
