Police Arrest 2 Women on Prostitution Charges

In a separate incident, a man and a woman were arrested on drug charges Wednesday in Glen Burnie.

Linthicum: Prostitution arrest

Anne Arundel County police arrested two women on prostitution charges Tuesday in Linthicum.

Queen-Shykylia Marie Samuel, 20, of the 16000 block of Sandario Drive in Houston and Fiona Danae Simms of no fixed address were charged with prostitution, assignation and occupying a house of prostitution. Assignation is defined as making an appointment or engagement for prostitution, according to nonprofit website ProCon.org. Police did not release Simms' age.

According to a police press release, detectives from the Special Enforcement Section Vice Unit investigated an advertisement posted on backpage.com, a social media bulletin board.

Detectives learned that the advertisement was a front for a prostitution business being operated out of a hotel room in the BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport district in Linthicum.

The investigation led to the arrest of Samuel and Simms.

Glen Burnie: Drug arrests

Police arrested a Glen Burnie man and a Baltimore woman on drug charges Wednesday afternoon in Glen Burnie.

Alfredo Calizaya, 45, of the 1200 block of Kimberly Lane was charged with four counts of possession with intent to distribute drugs and seven counts of possession of drugs. Lula May Lowe, 53, of the 1500 block of Medford Road in Baltimore was charged with two counts of distribution of drugs, two counts of possession with intent to distribute drugs and two counts of possession of drugs.

Detectives executed a narcotics search warrant in the 1200 block of Kimberly Lane at about 12:10 p.m. Wednesday in response to complaints from neighbors about drug-related activity happening at the residence, according to a police press release.

Police seized $4,800 in oxycodone, Xanax and marijuana and more than $1,500 in cash.
