Man Injured During Attempted Robbery

Police were unable to locate the suspect after the incident.

A man told police that he was walking in Brooklyn Park on Friday night when he was approached by a man with gun.

According to a press release from Anne Arundel County police, officers from the eastern district responded at about 7 p.m. Friday to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a reported attempted robbery that happened earlier in the northern district.

The victim said he was walking in the area of Audrey Avenue and 4th Street in Brooklyn Park when he was approached by a man who ordered him to hand over his money, according to police.

Although police said there was a struggle and the victim sustained minor injuries, the suspect fled without obtaining any money or property. The victim was treated and released from the hospital, according to police.
