Man Charged After Allegedly Stealing Lawn Ornaments

Police say Jason Jacobs of Brooklyn Park was arrested Saturday and charged with theft and driving on suspended or revoked license.

Jason Jacobs, 27, of the 5200 block of Fourth Street in Brooklyn Park, was arrested early Saturday morning after a county police officer found gnomes and other ceramic yard decorations in his car, police said.

The officer stopped Jacobs’ car on Wasena Avenue about 1:40 a.m. Saturday after receiving a call about suspicious activity and, after investigating, determined he took items from yards in the neighborhood, police spokesman Justin Mulcahy wrote in an email.

The officer located four victims and returned their items, but not all of the decorations were returned because the officer couldn’t determine the owners, Mulcahy wrote.

Jacobs was charged with theft and driving on either a suspended or a revoked license, according to Mulcahy.

Anyone who may have been a victim is asked to call the northern district police station at 410-222-6135.

Jennifer Donatelli is always there for a good story. But the incinerator story was superb! Something everyone in North Arundel County Needed to know about but nobody seemed to want to tell us. Hooray for Jennifer!
