A Glen Burnie man pleaded guilty Thursday to the , according to online court records.
According to a plea agreement the State's Attorney's office will not ask that Clayton Avila Battle, 34, of the 8000 block of Nolpark Court serve a life sentence without parole. Prosecutors will ask that Battle serve a life term with a possibility of parole and the defense will ask for less time, according to The Capital.
Officers arrested Battle on Dec. 4, 2010, after investigators identified him as the suspected shooter at Dietrich's Tavern on Furnace Branch Road early that morning, police said.
Police arrived at Dietrich's at about 12:15 a.m. Dec. 4, 2010, and found Fisher, 30, suffering from several gunshot wounds to the torso. He was transported to , where he later died.
According to police, Battle exited a vehicle and shot at Fisher with a rifle.
