Emergency workers responded to two accidents along the Interstate 97 corridor on Monday morning, fire officials said.
The first incident took place at I-97 and Maryland Route 100 at 5:45 a.m., but crews did not transport anyone to the hospital, according to Anne Arundel County fire spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton.
Then at 6:14 a.m., crews responded to an accident at southbound I-97 and Quarterfield Road. They transported one person to Anne Arundel Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. The age and gender of the victim was not known as of 9:30 a.m. Monday, Hamilton said.
The incident required the use of the Jaws of Life to help remove the person from the car, according to Hamilton.
