Drug Warrants Turn Up Heroin, Crack, Marijuana and Guns

Police served warrants in the past week that led to arrests and the seizure of drugs and guns.

Glen Burnie Arrest

Anne Arundel County police carrying out a drug warrant at a residence on the 4000 block of W. Furnace Branch Road seized 96 capsules containing a "small amount" of heroin, a "small amount" of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Police arrested Zachary M. Mallicote, 23, of Glen Burnie, and charged him with two counts of paraphernalia possession.

Pumphrey Arrest

Anne Arundel County police carrying out a drug warrant on March 20 at a residence on the 300 block of Berlin Avenue in Pumphrey, seized crack cocaine, marijuana, two guns, a vehicle, cash and paraphernalia. According to police, the drugs have a street value of $160.

Officers detained all of the occupants, but made only one arrest. Police charged Shannon Sharps, 32, of Baltimore, with possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and two counts of paraphernalia possession.
