The man who was struck by a vehicle on Mountain Road in Glen Burnie on Tuesday night has died, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Doctors pronounced John Junior Stewart, 52, of Glen Burnie, dead after arriving at University of Maryland Shock Trauma with critical injuries, according to police.
Investigators announced Wednesday morning that the dark-colored maroon van or SUV involved could have damaged the hood, grille or bumper.

A hit-and-run in Glen Burnie left a man in critical condition Tuesday night, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Investigators said that at approximately 7:15 p.m., a maroon or burgundy minivan or SUV struck a man in his late 30s on Mountain Road near Jumpers Hole Road, and immediately fled eastbound on Mountain Road.
The victim was unconscious as emergency crews arrived and an ambulance transported him to University of Maryland Shock Trauma in critical condition.
An initial investigation shows the victim was not walking in a crosswalk when he was struck, according to a police spokesperson.
Investigators plan to release more details about the incident and the victim early Wednesday.
