Law Bros. Supplies Hardware, Knowledge

George Law knows all about hardware supplies.

I have an interesting story that led me to meet a very nice business owner who earned my trust as a customer.

My kitchen sink had a new leak on the cold water tap and after researching online, I found out how to remove the handle and replace the parts. So, I ventured out to get the part.

After visiting a few local hardware stores, I was less than impressed. At the stores, some employees ignored me and others had little knowledge of the parts I needed. Eventually someone referred me to a store in Ferndale—Law Bros. Supply Inc.

Why, oh, why didn’t I know about this place? It would have saved me a lot of time and trouble. The owner looked at my broken piece and said this is for an American Standard. He knew which brand just by looking at it. He couldn’t be more knowledgeable, friendlier or hip.

George Law is the proud owner of a family-owned business since 1936 that started with his father and uncle. I'm sure George Law has more expertise than all those competitor stores combined. Lady Gaga was playing on his small radio as he discussed with me how bold and unique of an artist she is, as well as the customers that love coming in his store.

“You may hear more women say that they love a store but I have burly, bearded men who say they love my store,” George Law said.

His son, Andrew, was present and I asked him if he has learned what his father knows.

“He has it all stored up in his brain, which is equivalent to a computer. There is way too much to learn,” Andrew Law said.

Law Bros. is a fix and restore business offering services that include plumbing repair products, nuts and bolts, and heavy screen and window repair. It is reminiscent of those old-fashioned antique corner stores where the locals feel like they are family.

If you need spare parts or something fixed, make sure you stop in to see George Law. He will take good care of you.

I couldn't agree more... This is one of the last few places that offers up knowledge and service of the highest level... This used to be the standard in days of old... Makes me wonder why this isn't more prevalent today...

I really like going to local hardware stores because the workers there are generally very friendly. I have 2 or 3 hardware stores here in town where I have become good friends with the owners. It is nice being friends with the owner because they help me more than an average customer. http://www.centralplumbingspec.com/plumbing-supplies.php
