Looking for Pizza?

Patch rounded up a list of local places to grab some pizza. Disagree? List your favorites in the comments.

Growing up my mother wasn't a big pizza fan, so it wasn't until I was in college that I began to really nurture my love for the cuisine.

(I probably only made it through college because of the Papa John's Pizza that delivered pizza and cheese sticks to my dorm too many times to count.)

Anne Arundel County Patch editors shared their picks of where they go for pizza, but tell us all about your favorite local pizza shop in the comments.

Glen Burnie—After seeing great , I stopped by Piazza Italia for some pizza by the slice. Though not a vegetarian, I'm a sucker for a slice of good veggie pizza and this place didn't disappoint. It's probably my favorite place to get veggie pizza in town.

Pasadena—Looking for some quality pizza to go with Ravens football this weekend? Check out  on Mountain Road. They have delicious pizza’s available for delivery and carryout so you can have them at home, in front of the TV, while you cheer on the Ravens.

Odenton/Severn—There are a ton of places in the Odenton/Severn area to get a great pizza pie. In fact, there are more than a dozen pizza places in Odenton alone.

It's hard to pick a favorite place. Mamma Roma has phenomenal Sicilian. Little Caesar’s has pies for just $5. And Romeo's is a great independent joint. But Odenton Patch Editor Tim Lemke's personal favorite is , which has some great pizza and a cool neighborhood pizzeria vibe, with big flat-screen TV's and plenty of seating.

Severna Park—In business since 1955, there's usually a fundraiser being held by local community groups at this popular pizza and pasta restaurant located in Park Plaza.  is not only known for its rectangular-shaped, fresh-rolled pizza with hand-cut pepperoni. The eatery also serves fresh salad dressing, delicious pasta, burgers and subs.

Where do you get good pizza in the Glen Burnie area? Tell us in the comments.

Pizza Express on Aquahart Rd (just off crain hwy) has a 30" pizza they call King Kong. They list it as 34" on menu, but I measured the box at 30", still a very impressive pie. You have to tell them to cut it in slices when you order it, or they will cut it into squares because they are easier to handle. I like the "wow" factor of the big slices!

Growing up in NJ, there were many great mom and pop pizza places sprinkled everywhere. This kind of pizza trumps any chain pizza any day. I haven't been there yet, but a Brooklyn, NY native recently suggested Capri, in Glen Burnie on Hospital Drive. I have to give a shout out to Squisito's in Severna Park. They make the best pizza in town and are the official pizza of the Ibrahim family.

Living in Millersville, we favor Squisito pizza and Romillo's pizza. Both tie for first place in our book and both are located in Severna Park. A-1 Pizza, here in Millersville, is a close second. Delicious all!

Avera Pizza on Ritchie Highway, at the site of the former 3 Brothers is delicious, give it a try! Same phone number as 3 Bros.

That sounds like it could be similar to the "jumbo slice" pizza places they have in DC. I've never finished an entire piece, but I always give it a valiant effort!

Avera pizza as Tom W. stated is great. My new favorite place to eat! Also, Italia's Corner Cafe in Linthicum in the Burwood Plaza is also excellent! I highly recommend BOTH places!

My favorite is Capri on Hospital Drive. Owned and operated by a Sicilian immigrant and really good pizza.

I've never had any pizza better than Rocco's on Ritchie Hwy. Try their 'Godfather'.
