Farmers Market Coming to Glen Burnie

The market will open May 11 and be held the second Friday of each month. They also will be open on the first and third Saturdays starting May 19.

The 's Executive Center at 301 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie will host a Healthy Markets Farmers Market on the second Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting May 11 and running until November.

Healthy Markets will also hold a Farmers Market at the medical center's main campus at 300 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie on the first and third Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting May 19.

The Healthy Markets Organization focuses on nutrition, fitness, supporting local farmers and providing a sense of community.

Vendors will include Bluehouse Candy and Jams, Copper Penny Farm, Crispens' Farms & Greenhouses, Cuzzins Cuisine & Cakes, Gita Nagari Yoga Farm, GONZALES PRODUCE, Grassential Farm, Great Harvest Bread Co, Ler'Den Sophistikit, Local Homestead Products, Martin Family Herb Farms, Natures Kiss Organics, Platinum Jewelry By: Crystal B, Pleitez Produce and Roberto's Produce.

Volunteers are needed to make this market a success.
