Weekend Planner: Nov. 4-6

Patch rounded up a few things you can do this weekend in the Glen Burnie area.

 

This weekend is packed with opportunities to get out of the house and get involved with the community. Support local businesses and charities and even have some fun while doing it. Join your neighbors and take a hike, take a tug or raise money for Glen Burnie High School's music department. Here are some of our picks for the weekend.

1. Quartermania!

When/Where: 7 p.m. Saturday at the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge

Why Go: Win prizes while raising money for the Glen Burnie High School music department.

Cost: $5

2. Parent Involvement Conference

When/Where: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday at Anne Arundel Community College, Arnold

Why Go: Discuss issues relating to local schools with other parents in the county

Cost: Free

3. Holiday Trade Fair

When/Where: 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Earleigh Heights Fire Hall, Ritchie Highway, Severna Park

Why Go: This event sponsored by the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce features local school chorus, exhibitors, raffles, food refreshments.

Cost: Free

4. 16th Annual Pasadena Thanksgiving Parade

When/Where: 2 p.m. Sunday, 7750 Edwin Raynor Blvd., Pasadena

Why Go: It's a great chance to celebrate the season and help the needy.

Cost: Free

5. 14th Annual Tug of War

When/Where: Noon. To watch the tugging from the Annapolis side go to City Dock. To cheer for the Eastport side, go to 2nd Street.

Why Go: This annual event is fun and raises money for local charities.

Cost: Free
