Volunteer with Emmaus Center, Bello Machre
The Glen Burnie-based organizations are looking for volunteers for a variety of tasks.
Emmaus Center, a nonprofit organization that serves poor and homeless people, has a variety of volunteer opportunities available including office assistance, help with lunch preparation, counseling, grant writing and more.
Volunteer tradesmen will also be needed to help with construction of the new facility and there also is an immediate need for someone who is an expert with the WordPress blogging software.
For more information, contact 410-766-7729 or emmauscenter@gmail.com.
Bello Machre, an organization that works with people with developmental disabilities, is currently offering a variety of volunteering opportunities including:
- Someone to pick up pastry donations from Starbucks on Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- A volunteer with sewing experience to help a resident artist with putting together a display for next year’s art show
- A friendly and outgoing individual to serve as a scheduling assistant
- A development assistant to help manage the volunteer program
Additionally, Bello Machre needs help with the Memories of Elvis Show from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on May 6. Several volunteers are needed to assist with decorating, set-up, greeting guests, selling raffle tickets, cleanup and food service.
Volunteers are still needed for the Every Step Counts fundraiser. See here for more details on that event, to be held June 9.
