Traffic Stop Turns Up Heroin, Crack and Marijuana

Police arrested a woman after finding drugs during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Park.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Curtis Bay woman after discovering drugs during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Park early Wednesday.

Shortly after 2 a.m., police in plain clothes pulled over a vehicle on the 4900 block of Ritchie Highway. The officers had observed the vehicle "numerous" times during the evening, according to police.

As the officers interviewed the occupants of the vehicle, they determined the passenger had five capsules of heroin, a bag of crack cocaine and a bag of marijuana.

Police arrested Amber Elizabeth Adams, 21, and charged her with two counts of possessing a controlled substance not marijuana and one count of possessing marijuana.

Police did not specify a particular traffic violation that initiated the stop.

Did they pull her over only because they "saw her numerous times that evening?"
