- After a short delay, Chick-fil-A at the Centre at Glen Burnie was scheduled to open Monday at 6 a.m. The store closed more than a month ago to receive a "facelift."
- Anne Arundel County police announced a crackdown on distracted driving along Route 2 in Glen Burnie and other areas of the county.

- In the third reported incident in North County this month, police used a Taser on a man who allegedly was running partially naked on Crain Highway in Glen Burnie and resisted arrest.
- Chief James Teare Sr. announced his retirement and a new chief, Maj. Pamela R. Davis, was named the new acting police chief for the Anne Arundel County Police Department. A criminal investigation into Teare is being dropped by the state as a result of his retirement.
