Shots Fired Call Leads to Drug Arrest
Police say the incident Monday night involved suspected crack cocaine with a street value of more than $10,000.
A call for possible shots fired in a parking lot on Monday night in Glen Burnie led police to a man reportedly in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana.
According to press release from Anne Arundel County police, detectives responded to the 300 block of Mountain Ridge Court in Glen Burnie on Monday about 7:35 p.m.
Police found a man on the scene in possession of about three ounces of suspected crack cocaine with a street value of more than $10,000. Jeriko Jerrill Graves, 29, was placed under arrest but transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center due to a medical condition unrelated to the incident, according to police. While being transported, he reportedly spat on a paramedic.
A police search at the residence in the 300 block of Mountain Ridge Court revealed a small quantity of suspected marijuana, related drug paraphernalia, digital scales and $1,390 in cash.
Online court records show that Graves was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, false statement to a police officer, hindering a police investigation and second-degree assault.
