Police: Robbers Take Man's Wallet, Tobacco
A man told police he was assaulted by two men on Tuesday.
Two men reportedly assaulted a man and took his wallet Tuesday evening in the community of The Villages at Marley Station in Glen Burnie.
According to a press release from Anne Arundel County police, officers from the northern district responded to the community for a report of a strong-arm robbery at about 6:24 p.m. Tuesday.
A man told police he was near the community playground on Bruton Drive when two men approached him. Police said there was a language barrier and the man didn't understand what the suspects said to him.
The man tried to fight back as the suspects removed his wallet from his pocket and assaulted him, according to police. A loose packet of tobacco reportedly fell from the man's pocket during the assault and the suspects took it.
Police searched for the suspects who fled the scene on foot but were unable to locate them.
