Police Report Stabbing, Attempted Purse Snatching

An investigation is ongoing after a man fled the scene on Saturday.

 

Officers from the Northern District responded to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a report of a stabbing on Saturday just before noon, according to a press release from Anne Arundel County police.

Officers spoke with one of the victims, who told police she was walking with her boyfriend in the area of 5th Avenue in Glen Burnie when a man tried to steal her purse. The victim’s boyfriend reportedly intervened and was cut by the man, who fled the scene and was last seen running north towards Crain Highway.

The victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to the police press release.
